Reconnecting to the network

 You need to disconnect from the network on the device and then reconnect. On Android and iOS devices, this can be done from the settings section or using the menu.

Checking the adapter

Due to power surges, both the router itself and the power supply can fail. To check the power supply, you need to disconnect it from the router, connect it to the network and check the plug with a tester or multimeter. If the resulting figure is zero or noticeably different from the voltage indicated on the power supply itself, then the problem is in the adapter. It needs to be replaced. To check the router itself, you need to connect another power supply to it.

Causes of router malfunctions:

improper operation of equipment;

using outdated drivers;

infecting the router or a PC connected to it with viruses;

incorrect settings;

failure of the device.

To check the status of your router, you need to perform several consecutive steps. Let's describe each of them in more detail.

Updating Drivers

If the problem is observed only on a computer or laptop, while everything works fine on other devices, then you should update the drivers for the network card. You can download them from the official manufacturer's website.

A DHCP server allots a dynamic IP number. The DHCP server has a group of IP addresses which can serve the purpose.

Something is wrong with the drivers

Often, laptop owners face such a problem after a recent reinstallation of Windows or any other operating system. If you go to the device manager, you will see that the necessary drivers are installed, although there is still no Internet.

You should start reinstalling the drivers, and you should only download them from the official website of the laptop manufacturer or motherboard to it.
